Rich Beasley
Rich Beasley is the Regional Director for PPL Electric Utilities. In this capacity, he is responsible for implementing the company’s overall economic development goals, working to attract businesses to the greater Scranton and Wilkes-Barre regions. He serves as the liaison between the company and the various elected government officials in the area. In addition, he serves as spokesman for the company.
Rich holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Temple University as well as a Master of Arts Degree in English from West Chester State University. He began his career with PPL in 1980.
Active with the greater Scranton area Chamber of Commerce, Rich is co-chairman of the Scranton Plan. He is on the board and executive committee of the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce. He is president of the regional economic development organization, Penn’s Northeast and co-chairman of the Regional Chamber Partnership. He is also on the board of the Great Valley Technology Alliance.
At the county level, Rich serves on the board and executive committee of the Lackawanna County Workforce Investment Board.
At the state level, Rich serves as a Team Pennsylvania Foundation Ambassador and as a member of the Northeastern Committee of the Pennsylvania Economy League.
In the educational field, Rich serves as a trustee and chairman of the buildings and grounds committee at Lackawanna College. He is also a trustee of Marywood University.
Rich’s other community activities include board presidency of the Scranton Cultural Center. At the greater Scranton YMCA, he serves as secretary of the board
