Bill Candow
As Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Vice President of IT, Bill Candow oversees all technology initiatives, including computing, telecommunications, audio visual and emerging digital technologies for the new Pennsylvania site.
He also ensures that those technologies consistently support and extend Mohegan Suns’ corporate wide business goals while additionally meeting the day-to-day technological needs of the existing race track operations.
Bill joins Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs following tenure at Casino Niagara/Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls Ontario as the Executive Director of IT and previously Park Place Entertainment in Las Vegas where he was the Corporate Director of Networking for over 26 properties in 6 countries.
He has spoken at a number of industry events including BrainShare and NetWorld+Interop and has successfully orchestrated several Multi-million dollar projects such as the implementation of the Hilton Technology Network, technology retrofits to the Waldorf-Astoria, Palmer House, Fontainebleau Resort, the GES Enterprise Network and Wireless Ambassador projects.
A veteran of the hospitality and gaming industries with over 20 years of technology experience, Bill has also provided technology solutions for the Hilton Hotel chain, Park Place Entertainment, Boyd Gaming and Harvey’s Casino Resort. Bill has numerous books published as a technical editor for Sam’s Publishing, a division of Prentice Hall and has proudly served as a United States Marine. A 2006 Executive Leadership Wilkes-Barre graduate, he resides in Dallas with his wife and daughter.
