Lew Dryfoos III

Llewellyn F. Dryfoos, III is President of The Dryfoos Group of Insurance Agencies, a regional independent insurance agency and brokerage founded in 1901 by his great grandfather, Henry Dryfoos, Jr. The agency maintains locations in Hazleton, Bethlehem and Milton, and specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance placement and consulting for eastern Pennsylvania businesses.
A native of the Hazleton area, Mr. Dryfoos is a graduate of MMI Preparatory School in Freeland. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and is an Honor Graduate of the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California where he received the Provost's Award for Excellence.
Mr. Dryfoos served more than five years as an officer in the United States Army, both in the United States and overseas. His service included duty in Saudi Arabia and Iraq during the first Persian Gulf War, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
A graduate of Leadership Hazleton, he has been active in many regional civic and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the United Way of Greater Hazleton, MMI Preparatory School, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, The Great Valley Technology Alliance and the Hazleton Rotary Club. He is a former Councilman for Conyngham Borough, where is resides with his wife, Maura and their three children, Llewellyn IV, Evan, and Madeline.
