Therese Maxfield

           
Therese L. Maxfield is the Regional Director for POWER! as well as the Executive Assistant to Christopher Haran, CEO of the Great Valley Technology Alliance.  POWER! (Professionals Organized and Working to Enrich the Region), a program of the Great Valley Technology Alliance, is a mechanism that allows young and young-thinking professionals the opportunity to meet, socialize and become actively involved in shaping their community.

Therese earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Penn State University.  Ms. Maxfield excelled academically, earning the honors of Dean’s List, National Dean’s List and the Award for Academic Excellence.  She also remained active in the campus’ Business Club holding the positions of Vice-President as well as President.  Upon graduation she was employed with The Lion Brewery where she held the position of Sales & Promotions Coordinator.  While with The Lion she headed the events planning committee which succeeded in growing the Annual Lion Brewery Oktoberfest to nearly 10,000 people, nearly tripling the previous year’s attendance.

 Ms. Maxfield is currently active in many of the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce’s committees including; The Women in Business Council as well as the Government Affairs Committee.  She also participates in the Annual Community Reading Day and the Annual Day of Cultural Sharing.

 Ms. Maxfield is a proud resident of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
