The GVTA's mission is the creation of a self-sustaining technology-based economy in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Its aim is to stimulate the creation of the necessary infrastructure to support the growth of such an economy, including venture capital, research centers, technical education, entrepreneurship, recreation and lifestyle amenities, and the attraction and retention of human capital.
GVTA is dedicated to supporting regional growth through collaboration with organizations and institutions with a shared commitment to the region's future. GVTA will work in the spirit of partnership with other interests and organizations to build economically vital communities.
