W. Kevin O'Donnell

W. Kevin O'Donnell

Kevin O'Donnell is a native of the Greater Hazleton Area. He attended Temple University, Fort Lauderdale University and the Industrial Management Institute of Reading, PA. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Management and an Associate Degree in Architecture.

In 1973, Kevin joined the staff of CAN DO, Inc. as the Assistant Director. In 1984 he was named to the position of Director, promoted to Executive Vice President in 1985, and then to President in 1995.

Professionally, Kevin is a member and Past Vice President of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association (PEDA), a member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and an associate member of CoreNet (formerly IDRC). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Industrial Resource Council of Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPIRC), a former Pennsylvania Representative to the Board and now member of the Northeast Industrial Development Association, a Team Pennsylvania Ambassador and a member of the Luzerne and Schuylkill County Workforce Investment Board (WIB). He also serves as a delegate to the Northeast PA Alliance and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Luzerne County Community College. In the past, he served on various committees of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and was a past member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP).

In addition, Kevin represents CAN DO on the Luzerne County Economic Development Roundtable, the Steering Committee of the Hazleton Partners in Education, is one of the incorporators of the CAN DO Foundation and an incorporator of the Great Valley Technolog y Alliance serving the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton SMSA.

For achievements in Economic Development, Kevin was selected by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association as their first ever "Developer of the Year" recipient in 1984.

Formerly a Jaycee, Kevin is currently a member of the Hazleton Rotary Club and is a former board member of the Hazleton YMCA. He resides in Drums, PA with his wife Maureen.
